The primary responsibility of the Medical Collection Specialist is to ensure effective collections on all patient accounts. Accurately work on private collections while keeping current with all patient accounts. Will be responsible for daily account collection procedures and follow up through research and telephone calls to ensure accounts are collected in a timely manner. Requires strong knowledge of Social Security Income, Medicare and Medicaid.
Plans group activities and updates patient care plans and goals. Documents each assigned patient/resident's recreation goals. Makes computer entries required for the generation of monthly summaries. Program development; creation of monthly activity calendars; and transporting residents to various activities.
Facilitates and leads programs in the Recreation Room and/or nursing unit. Responsible for creation, and implementation of bedside recreation programs for those patients/residents unable to otherwise participate.The Assistant is required to drive the Hospital Passenger Van and the Hospital Resident Bus.
