The Hospital Authority of Norfolk Board, formed in 1988, is comprised of 11 community leaders, appointed by Mayor Paul Fraim, on a voluntary basis. The Commission members receive no form of compensation for their role or hours of voluntary service.
The leadership of the Authority is determined through the annual nomination and election of officers. Members of the Board nominate and elect members to serve in the capacity of Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary.
The Board meets the fourth Wednesday of each month at 8:00 A.M. in the hospital's Board Room.
