Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital’s Annual ‘Tee-Off for Tots Tournament’ Proves to be Another Success
Hospital raises nearly $25,000 to benefit their pediatric unit
(Norfolk, VA) –Over one hundred and fifty golfers, representing physicians, administrators, hospital volunteers, community leaders and sponsors, gathered on Thursday, June 10, for Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital’s 12th Annual Tee-Off for Tots golf tournament. Sponsored by the Hospital Auxiliary, nearly $25,000 was raised to benefit the Hospital’s pediatric unit.
Held at Sewell’s Point Golf Club in Norfolk, the golf tournament began with a shot-gun tee-off at 12:30 PM, with golfers finishing the day with dinner and an awards ceremony. Golfers also had an opportunity to participate in raffle drawings and bid on items in a silent auction.
“Proceeds from our annual golf tournaments have helped us considerably over the years. This year's gift will help purchase new equipment and technology for our pediatric unit,” said Thomas Orsini, president and CEO of Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital. “The success of this hospital depends upon the sustained assistance of caring and concerned hospital employees, volunteers and caring individuals and businesses throughout the community. We thank everyone involved in our annual golf tournament.”
SunTrust Bank was the premier sponsor. Genesis Healthcare Corporation, Paul Finch & Associates, P.C., and Neighbor Care Pharmacy & Omni Care Company were the corporate sponsors.
