Lake Taylor hosts 11th Annual “Ride for the Children”
Santa and his helpers swapped the sound of sleigh bells for the roar of nearly 300 Harley-Davidson motorcycles, Sunday, December 11th. Sponsored by Southside Harley-Davidson, the eleventh annual “Ride for the Children” raised several thousands of dollars in gifts and contributions for Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital’s pediatric center.
Departing Southside Harley-Davidson at 11:45 AM, Harley-Davidson enthusiasts rode to Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital. Arriving at noon, the bikers were greeted by Lake Taylor staff, volunteers and hospital patients.
Following the ride, the group gathered in the employee dining room for a reception held in their honor.
The Annual “Ride for the Children”, which helps to fund much-needed medical equipment, supplies and special programs, is just one of a number of fundraising events Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital holds throughout the year.
