INTERN: Human Resources Dept. (Unpaid)

The Human Resources Internship is an unpaid, for credit only, intern position at Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital. The student must be eligible to obtain credit through an accredited college or university. The Human Resources Intern will work 16-25 hours per week with the Human Resources Team from June through August. The time frame is flexible based on student availability and semester dates.

Under the general direction and supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Intern provides general clerical support, assembles and maintains highly confidential information and assists with special projects. This internship will provide hands-on experience and involve all facets of the Human Resources Department.

Credit: Students must provide information from their school on internship requirements as well as the certification documentation necessary to receive credit.

Duties: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform a variety of highly responsible confidential clerical and administrative duties for the Human Resources Department
  • Assist with correspondence
  • Complete HR projects in a timely fashion
  • Work confidentially with discretion
  • Maintains an organized workflow and is able to determine priorities
  • Assemble hiring and benefits packets and assist HR team at new hire orientation
  • Interact with employees and candidates to provide information and answer questions in an accurate and knowledgeable manner
  • Maintains confidential HR records (both written and electronic), which includes routine filing and updating of employment related documents, as assigned
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will be pursuing Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration and will preferably have completed at least two years of college credit.  Position is located in Norfolk, Virginia.


 

Clinical Coordinator

Description:
Seeking an experienced, energetic and dedicated LPN to serve as part of a dynamic team. The selected candidate will:

* Actively assists in the presentation of mandatory programs to nursing personnel and hospital-wide employees as appropriate.
* Actively participates in physician consultations.
* Coordinates all employee health programs.
* Participates in the new employee orientation program.
* Is responsible for the overall operation of the CPR certification program.
* Maintains professional standards by participating in inservice and staff meetings.
* Patient testing.

Education/Special Skills Required:
* Must have exceptional customer service skills.
* Must possess exemplary documentation and record keeping skills.
* Must possess valid license to practice practical nursing in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
* 5 years practical nursing experience required.


Patient Services Aide

Description:
We are accepting applications for a Patient Services Aide to assist us in keeping assigned patient, office, lobby, halls, stairways, restrooms, and other areas and equipment, clean, aseptic, neat and safe.

Position Type:

Full-time (Monday-Friday; 8AM-4PM; every other weekend)


Education/Special Skills Required:

  • One to two years custodial and/or janitorial operation experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
