Transcriptionist

Seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable professional to join our Health Information Management Department. Selected candidate will be responsible for transcribing medical dictation detailing a patient's health care during hospitalization which becomes permanent records of medical and legal value.

  • High school graduate required.
  • Post-high school education in medical terminology.
  • Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT)
  • Ability to listen intently to recordings for details
  • Ability to decipher dialects well, a plus
  • Typing skills 30 – 60 WPM
  • Full-time

 

RN's / LPN's / CNA's

  • 12-hour shifts (7AM-7PM or 7PM-7AM)
  • Minimum 1-year nursing experience required.
  • Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia

Information Systems Trainer

The Information Systems department is seeking an individual with excellent communications (written and oral) and training skills for a full-time position. Must have good office automation application and typing skills. High School diploma and skills testing required.

Occasional weekends or evening shifts. You must submit pay requirements with your resume and application.


 

Hospitality Aide

DESCRIPTION:

  • Candidate will perform the following duties:
  • Making beds
  • Assist in feeding residents
  • Fill water pitchers
  • Transport patients/residents to scheduled activities and appointments
  • 10AM-6PM shift (to include weekends)
  • Full-time position
  • Other duties as assigned


REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma, or GED equivalency is preferred.
  • At least one year of successful work experience, regardless of setting is preferred.
  • No specific experience is required.
  • A sincere passion for quality customer service
  • Must be available weekends.

 

QAPI Nurse

  • VA licensed RN
  • Will maintain quality assurance and performance improvement.
  • Candidate will aim for high quality of care and safety.
  • Will track, investigate, and monitor adverse events and implement action plans.
  • Will demonstrate proficiency in use of root cause analysis.
  • Must have 3 years related experience.

Medical Coding Specialist

  • Must identify all pertinent medical codes, which describe a patient's condition and treatments.
  • Must have experience working in an inpatient Hospital setting.
  • CCS, CPC, RHIT or RHIA certification.
  • Extensive knowledge of ICD-9-CM and medical terminology
  • Minimum of 2 years inpatient Medicare coding experience preferred.
  • Works closely with the medical staff to ensure accuracy and validation of codes.
  • FULL-TIME and PART-TIME Available.

Floor Care (Labor Pool)

DESCRIPTION:
The Floor Team Specialist performs routine floor care, including, but not limited to scrubbing, refinishing and buffing of floor surfaces. Duties are performed under direct supervision and subject to inspection by the Director of Environmental Services. 22-24 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Maintains all floors, i.e., stripping, refinishing and daily maintenance of various floor types and surfaces;
2. Insures that all entrance ways are clean and that they are maintained;
3. Follows cleaning procedures in a safe manner;
4. Completes all assignments as scheduled;
5. Maintains equipment in good working condition and returns it to the proper storage location after use;


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous, successful experience in commercial floor care (1yr minimum)
  • High school diploma, or equivalent

Unit Secretary

Description

  • Performs a variety of non-clinical and ancillary services.
  • Clerical support and related unit support functions.
  • Facilitating effective communication with inter/intradepartmental personnel to maintain an efficient, and organized nursing station.
  • Writing and printing skills are legible.
  • Experience in medical terminology, and proficient in computers and typing.
  • Assist in maintaining medical record accuracy and integrity.
  • Able to perform general receptionist duties.
  • Monday through Friday schedule.

Requirements/Education/Licensure

  • Thorough and working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience in hospital (acute care) or pharmacy setting.
