The Children's Place - Pediatric Services

They smile and fill us with hope. Their love brings light to us unconditionally. They show bravery adults can only aspire to. We strive daily to nourish and inspire them to grow. Lake Taylor's Children's Place is a safe haven for our special sub-acute care patients.

Carefully selected activities enrich the lives of our children during their stay. We offer educational programs, therapies and recreational activities to give our children constant cognitive, physical and psychosocial stimulation. This keeps them motivated both mentally and physically. We also orchestrate special activities and field trips to give our kids a well-rounded healing experience.

Our pediatric team makes our children the winners. We believe in an interdisciplinary approach to delivering appropriate service, and treatment is formed by therapists and pediatric healthcare professionals. We provide care for patients with sub-acute disabilities that may require one or a combination of the following:

• Ventilator care
• Physical rehabilitation
• Respiratory support
• Intravenous nutritional therapy
• Occupational therapy
• Physical therapy
• Speech and recreation programs
• Gross and fine motor activities
• Visual and communication devices
• Speech therapy
• Recreation therapy
• Educational classes provided through Southeastern Cooperative Educational Programs
