Lake Taylor hosts 11th Annual “Ride for the Children” |

Santa and his helpers swapped the sound of sleigh bells for the roar of nearly 300 Harley-Davidson motorcycles, Sunday, December 11th. Sponsored by Southside Harley-Davidson, the eleventh annual “Ride for the Children” raised several thousands of dollars in gifts and contributions for Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital’s pediatric center.

Lake Taylor Residents Visit the Virginia Beach Oceanfront |
On a warm fall day this past October, several long-term care patients at Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital recently visited the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Accompanied by hospital staff and some family members, the patients were able to relax and take in the sights from the 15th Street Fishing Pier. For those who were able, part of the afternoon outing included a picnic lunch as well as special treats from the local ice cream parlor.

Former Rehab Patients Celebrate Victories Of Recovery At 11th Annual Rehab Reunion |
On Thursday, October 20, 2011, Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital held its 11th Annual “Rehab Reunion” for former participants of the inpatient rehabilitation program. Approximately 350 former rehab patients and their families returned to Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital to reunite with each other as well as LTTCH nurses, therapists and other relevant faculty. A BBQ lunch was served and a band was also present to add to the celebration. Many of the former patients present for the reunion have suffered from neurological disorders, strokes, spinal cord injuries, paralysis, arthritis, hip and knee replacement, and other various ailments. The purpose for the gathering is to celebrate the group’s successful return to their homes in the community following their stay at the facility. |

The 16th annual Fall and Holiday Fashion Show featured attire and accessories from Lili's of Ghent. The much-anticipated event at the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club opened to a full house. It is a benefit presented by the Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital Auxiliary.
