NORFOLK,Va. (WAVY) — All a 9-year-old Norfolk girl wants for Christmas is to see others smile.
Hannah Brader started a charitable group called Hannah’s Hugs in 2013. During the year, she raises money to buy hundreds of pairs of socks. Then her grandmother helps her deliver fuzzy socks to various health care facilities on Christmas Eve.
This year, Hannah has 259 pairs of socks to deliver, all of which were purchased with her own money. She wraps each pair and labels them for a male or female.
10 On Your Side went with Hannah on Wednesday as she handed out the socks to patients at Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital.
