RICHMOND, VA – Sept. 15, 2022 — Members Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA) were recently honored for their dedication to the long-term care profession and service to others at the annual VHHA Awards Banquet in Richmond.
Awards were given to the CNA, Director of Nursing, Assisted Living Administrator, and Nursing Facility Administrator of the Year, as well as lifetime achievement.
This year’s James Dunton Distinguished Service Award for Lifetime Achievement was given to Thomas J. Orsini, President/CEO of Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital.
Orsini, a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA), was recognized for his remarkable 45-year career as an administrator, humanitarian, and community business leader, and for his dedicated service to others.
Since his appointment as the hospital's chief executive in 1999, Lake Taylor has experienced a tremendous turnaround in financial, organizational, and quality care standards.
