Guest emcee: “Radio Emily” from Real Country US 106.1 FM

NORFOLK, Va. – The Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital Auxiliary invites the community to “step on out” in style at its 28th Annual Benefit Fashion Show, generously sponsored by TowneBank. The event will take place Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Norfolk Yacht & Country Club, 7001 Hampton Blvd., Norfolk, VA.

This year’s theme, “Stepping on Out,” highlights both men’s and women’s fashions, with stylish looks presented by Dressology and Beecroft & Bull. Guests will enjoy a social hour and shopping beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by lunch and the fashion show at 12 noon.

Adding star power to this year’s event, Emily Sanford — aka “Radio Emily” from Real Country US 106.1 FM — will serve as guest emcee. Known for keeping Hampton Roads company during afternoon drives (weekdays 3–8 p.m.), Emily is a proud Chesapeake native, an Old Dominion University alumna, and a Virginia Beach resident — truly a 757 girl through and through. A passionate supporter of local charity events, Emily brings her enthusiasm and hometown spirit to make this year’s fashion show our most unforgettable yet

Tickets are $50 per person, with proceeds directly supporting Lake Taylor’s specialized programs and equipment needs for pediatric and senior patients. From advanced medical devices to therapeutic programs, these enhancements play a vital role in improving the quality of life for some of the hospital’s most vulnerable patients.

“Each year, the Auxiliary’s Fashion Show not only showcases the latest styles but also reflects the generosity of our community,” said Sharon Woodard, fashion show chairwoman. “The funds raised provide critical resources for our patients—resources that would not be possible without the support of caring businesses and individuals.”

The Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital Auxiliary has a long tradition of volunteer service, fundraising, and advocacy to benefit the hospital. Thanks to community partners like TowneBank, the annual fashion show continues to be a signature event that combines fun, fashion, and philanthropy.
