Over 130 Years of Caring for Hampton Roads
In 1890 Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital was created to meet the urgent and pressing health care needs of our community. The name has changed over the years, but the commitment to innovation, medicine and community continues.
Today, our staff and volunteers continue to serve to our patients and their families with compassion and caring along with the medical technology and expertise that have made Lake Taylor one of the top five transitional care hospitals in the country.

As a state-licensed facility, empowered by a 135-year heritage of serving the citizens of Norfolk and Hampton Roads, Lake Taylor provides a continuum of patient care ranging from long-term acute care hospital services to skilled and intermediate nursing care.
